International Women's Day #InspireInclusion
Today, on International Women's Day, we celebrate the achievements of women from all walks of life and reflect on the progress that have been made towards gender equality. Music has played a significant role in this journey, providing a powerful medium to women and empowering them to break barriers and inspire change. Throughout history, countless female musicians, singers, and composers have left an indelible mark in the music scene accross the globe with their talent, creativity, and resilience. Their stories and contributions remind us of the transformative power of music and its ability to uplift, unite, and empower women.
At Funkbeat School of Music we focus on fostering an inclusive, equal and nurturing environment for all, including our students, teachers and staff. In keeping with this year’s theme of International Women’s Day, we pledge to Invest in Women : to accelerate and encourage Progress and #InspireInclusion in every aspect of our work and personal lives to make a better world.
We are sure that as a society, with adequate and well-intended effort, we will achieve equality for all genders in musical education and other spheres in the time to come.
To commit to #InspireInclusion, we ask that all of you undertake an oath to inspire inclusion, be it in our music school or anywhere else in our society:
To truly include women, to openly embrace their diversity of race, age, ability, faith, body image, and how they identify.
Women bring patience in music teaching and an organized structure to be told to young kids.
